The African Business Aviation Association (AfBAA) has ushered in a new era of leadership with the appointment of Mr. Dawit Lemma as its new Chairperson. A respected figure in global aviation circles, Dawit brings over 25 years of multifaceted industry experience to the helm of AfBAA.

As the Founder and CEO of Krimson Aviation Holdings Ltd., Dawit has built a formidable presence across 35 countries, positioning Krimson as a trusted name in ground handling, aviation logistics, and operational support throughout Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. His expertise is grounded in real-world aviation knowledge—he is a licensed commercial pilot and an FAA-certified Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic.

Beyond business, Dawit’s influence extends into advocacy and governance. He sits on the boards of prestigious aviation bodies, including Women in Aviation International (WAI), International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), and National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), where he leads African engagement. His scholarship initiatives are making tangible strides toward diversity and inclusion in the aerospace sector.

Fluent in English and French and with work experience across Ethiopia, Switzerland, the U.S., and beyond, Dawit is well-positioned to lead AfBAA’s mission of strengthening business aviation in Africa. His track record in infrastructure development, including airport upgrades and hangar projects, reflects his commitment to practical, growth-driven leadership.
